i'm a looser baby.....
yeb it's official, i'm a looser....i waited for too long to book my tickets in december and now it's not so very cheap to come for a visit.....so i think i won't be there for my graduation celebration....we'll just have to celebrate together later....i'm thinking of february now...isn't there a knowledgelab around that time? i'm sitting in the computer room of the teacher uni....i've been a resident of reykjavik for a week now and its nice....all weekend from wednesday to sunday i was going to gigs and seeing great great music....it's sucha fun weekend...so many people around everywhere and fun things happening in every corner...in the day times there were little concerts in record shops and cafe's and in the evenings you could choose from at least 7 different venues that had a packed schedule from 8 in the evening until 3 in the morning....so there was a lot of jumping between venues....and of course i was always at the right place in the right moment...
i think things are finally starting to slow down for me....after this teaching uni session this week i think i'm going to finally have time to get into my own thoughts about my own project....i'm looking so much forward to be able to read phenomenology for days....i started reading merlo ponty on nature yesterday and vow....i like it....things i've been thinking and sensing in the last two years...i can see the line i'm on making sense....the right books, the right topics, it all falls into place somehow....
i like being in reykjavik....it's relaxing somehow....and fun...last night i went to a 10 year celebration of gender studies in iceland...people talking about feminism and gender and great female musicians singing hip hop and crazy electronic feminist dancing in weird costumes...haha...i like being able to walk to a cafe with great coffee and going to see weird music on tuesdays...that doesn't really happen where i live...haha...next step on my plan is getting a cheap place to rent here in reykjavik....
well gotta go...sampai nanta

what?
a whole month and more gone by and i haven't written a word on this page...i guess it's because everytime i'm sitting in front of the computer i'm writing a lecture, or doing silly projects for the teacher training, or writing phd proposals and applications for funding...i have a huge desk in my room, the window facing the street in front of me and the witch from lancaster hanging in the window.... it seems surreal that only two months ago i was there and now i am here....i'm still trying to decide whether to fly over to england in december....is anyone going to the silly graduation ceremony? will people be in lancaster from the 8th till the 17th of december? help me decide please....
i went to my beach this morning and there was a weird moon situation going on...can't really describe it in words...wish i still had a camera....the moon was up in the morning sky pulling the waves against each other, making them kiss and form amazing patterns in the dark blue ocean...i sat there for an hour, couldn't take my eyes of the crazy waves...
next weekend there will be a great music festival in reykjavik...i'm going to move to the city and enjoy going to loads and loads of gigs....i've been kind of starved from music since i got home..with one or two great exceptions..
well....it's difficult to write after such a long time...there are so many things to say that i get confused and don't know what to say....maybe next time it will be easier...until then...sampai nanta...
